Smooth sailing

Ah, so lazy...I've been playing Fallout 3, editing Lucila, plotting for a new novel, trying to get myself to edit some photos, and relaxing in the 35 degree Celsius heat. Also trying to secure employment - my search is proving to be rather fruitless thus far, how sad.

The Night Watch

I'm reading this contemporary fantasy novel by Sergei L. Two hundred pages in - I love it. Set in modern Russia, the story follows a man named Anton [Antosha], who is an agent of the Night Watch - a group of Light Others who monitor the actions of the Dark Others during the night. A fascinating read; certainly refreshing to see something original (don't let the Light/Dark thing fool you). Worth a read, if not to see modern Russia through a native's eyes.

Subscription

And...my sub ends on Thursday at 8am. I'm not going to renew it - I don't use images in my journal, or thumbs, so I don't see why I should shell out my $35AU to get features I don't need and won't use. My vanity will survive life without an apostrophe.

By the way...

I really hate my screen name. Damn you Stephenie Meyer! Way to ruin the word 'twilight'.

The original intent of 'eclipse at twilight' was both a nod towards the Twili of Zelda (now forgotten, really) and for a lunar eclipse. And now, now I'm just another supposed fanboy, one who has never read Twilight. What am I to do?

Meh, there are bigger problems in life, right :P And no one really cares, do they - after all, it's only a name :) Twilight will eventually mean something again after all the hype dies down, unless they make a movie of Eclipse - then I'm screwed.

Good old mum.

I'll check it over, but Friday could work out splendidly. Else, Caturday or Thursday... Now, you're at Anglican collage, right, disrupting social order apparently?
